WELCOME TO NOLA MUSIC TOGETHER!
Music Together is an internationally recognized early childhood music program for infants,
toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and the adults who love them. First offered to the public in 1987,
it pioneered the concept
of a research-based, developmentally appropriate early childhood music curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement. Music Together classes are based on the recognition that all children are musical.

This Spring with the Triangle Collection, we'll be riding camels, turning into ladybugs and gettin' the "Nothin' Blues"...

There's still time to register! If you'd like to try a class before you buy, please contact director Renee Rednour : 504.305.3658 or email through this site.

NOLA Music Together® is proud to bring developmentally appropriate, joyful and authentic family-style music classes to New Orleans for the third year! We are also happy to announce that St. George's Episcopal School uptown has adopted the Music Together Preschool program into it's curriculum for their Three Year Old through Pre-K students.

Congratulations on making the choice to develop your child's music aptitude. By the way, did you know that 84% of us have average to above average musical aptitude? But 100% of us can achieve Basic Music Competence-the ability to sing in tune with accurate rhythm.
Once upon a time, there was a piano in every home and families gathered easily and naturally to sing, dance and engage in musical "play" together. DON'T YOU WANT THAT BACK!?

Since the dawn of the recording age, we have steadily become consumers of music rather that participators in it. We tend to think music-making should be left to proffessionals, people who are "musical". Well, guess what? Everyone is musical! Research has proven that our brains are hardwired for engaging in music, not just for consuming it.

NOLA MUSIC TOGETHER WILL NOT BE OFFERING A SUMMER SESSION THIS YEAR.

SEE YOU IN FALL!  Educators have long considered mixed-age groupings to be beneficial. Our activities focus on adult/child interaction, so children of different ages can enjoy class together. There is no pressure to perform "at age level". (A sibling discount is offered to encourage full family involvement). But we believe in music for music's sake!FOR MORE INFORMATION about Music Together, contact Music Together, LLC at 1-800-728-2692

BENEFITS

A Music Together class is not a "music lesson". Children are given the freedom to participate, explore and experiment with music as they choose and according to their individual developmental level. The class experience is reinforced by parent involvement, encouraging continued learning at home through musical play and continued parent education about children's musical development.

MIXED AGE CLASS (birth -five)
Did you know that ALL children are musical?  Did you know that you can nurture the musical growth of your child regardless of your own musical ability?
Experience Music Together and find out how important you are to your child's musical development!

Music Together is a research based

, developmentally appropriate approach is based on the belief that:

ALL children are musical and have the innate ability (and the right!) to learn to sing in tune, create accurate rhythms and participate in music making with joyful confidence.

Musical growth happens best in an informal, playful, developmentally appropriate, non-performance-oriented learning environment.  CHILDREN DO NOT LEARN BY "SITTING STILL"!!!!

The participation of parents and caregivers, regardless of their own musical ability, is the most important factor in supporting musical growth of the child.

Children naturally experiment with the elements of music and develop according to their own timetable and preferences. The role of the adult is to prepare a musically rich environment to support this. Come and learn how!

Music can and should become part of a family's daily life and is a source of fun, spontaneous educational enrichment. Music also gives families a new way to bond and communicate.

INFORMAL INSTRUCTION
Music Together classes nourish a family's efforts to create a rich and joyful musical environment at home. Parents will bring new understanding to support their child's lifelong love of music. Children with Special Needs are welcome with open arms.Current research shows that music education supports and GREATLY enhances learning in all other areas of a child's life.
